BISERICA ROMANO-CATOLICĂ DIN CACICA
Pentru că biserica era neîncăpătoare și deteriorată, în 1892 s-a inițiat reconstrucția ei, iar mai apoi în 1904 la 16 octombrie, biserica nouă a fost sfințită.
La 15 august 2010, cu prilejul aniversării a 10 ani de când sanctuarul marian de la Cacica a fost ridicat la rangul de Basilica Minor, în fața bisericii romano-catolice a fost amenajată o piață și a fost dezvelită o statuie a Papei Ioan Paul al II-lea.
Biserica adăpostește importante lucrări de artă. De o rară frumusețe sunt vitraliile situate în cele 5 ferestre ale prezbiteriului și care reprezintă cele cinci mistere de slavă ale Rozariului Maicii Domnului, precum și cele două ferestre uriașe laterale din navele transversale, din sticlă colorată.
De asemenea, un interes deosebit prezintă și „Grota Lourdes” de lângă biserică, aceasta fiind o reprezentare a celei din Franța. Ca urmare a faptului că zidurile bisericii erau amenințate de apăsarea versantului care alunecase în partea din spate a lăcașului de cult, a fost necesară efectuarea de lucrări de consolidare a zidurilor.
În grotă, pe lângă altar și locurile amenajate pentru spovadă, există în partea dreaptă și o fântână cu apă considerată tămăduitoare, pe care pelerinii o folosesc cu multă credință pentru binecuvântarea lor și a gospodăriilor lor. În partea stângă s-a amenajat un loc special pentru aprinderea de lumânări, obicei inspirat din religiozitatea ortodoxă.
Cu prilejul hramului Adormirii Maicii Domnului, în grotă sunt oficiate două liturghii în limbile maghiară și germană.
Acesta este locul unde, îți poți găsi pacea sufletească, așa că vă recomand cu mult drag sa vizitați Biserica romano-catolică din Cacica.

The Roman Catholic Church from Cacica
The Roman Catholic Church from Cacica was built in 1904 by the Polish community from Cacica town. In 2000, by recognizing the importance of Marian pilgrimages from this church, Pope John Paul the II-nd granted the title of “Basilica Minor”to the church.
In 1810 a wooden church was consecrated in Cacica; the church held a replica of the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary called "Black Madonna" from Silesia, which from the beginning was venerated as a miraculous icon/ The icon was brought in 1809, from an Armenian-Catholic church in Stanislawow. In 1844, the Roman Catholic Archbishop Francesco di Paolo Pitschek, Metropolitan of Lviv established a parish here.
Because the church was too small and damaged, its reconstruction was initiated in 1892 and then on 16th of October 1904, the new church was consecrated.
On the 15th of August 2010, on the occasion of the 10th anniversary since the Marian sanctuary from Cacica was raised to the rank of Basilica Minor, a square was set up in front of the Roman Catholic Church and a statue of Pope John Paul the II-nd was unveiled.
The church houses important art works. Of rare beauty are the stained glasses located on the 5 windows of the presbytery, which represents the five praise mysteries of the Rosary of the Virgin Mary but also the two huge side windows from the transverse aisles, made by stained glass.
Moreover, a special interest is raised by the "Lourdes Cave" located in the neighbourhood of the church, which is a representation of the one from France. Due to the fact that the walls of the church were threatened by the pressure of the flank that slides into the back of the worship, it was necessary to perform works to strengthen the walls.
Inside the cave besides the sanctuary and the spaces intended for confession, on the right side there is a water fountain which is considered healing and which pilgrims use with great faith for blessing them and their households. On the left side a special place for lighting candles was set, a tradition drawn from the orthodox religiosity.
On the occasion of the Assumption, inside the cave two High Masses in Hungarian and German language are held.
