Centrul pentru Susținerea Tradițiilor Bucovinene

La demisol sunt arhivele şi centralele de utilităţi, la parter două puncte de informare, unul cu caracter turistic, celălalt referitor la activitățile din clădire.

La primul etaj al clădirii a fost amenajată o sală de conferinţe modernă multifuncţională, iar la al doilea etaj sunt şapte ateliere puse gratuit la dispoziţie meşterilor populari: atelier de confecţionare măşti, atelier de prelucrare a lemnului, de ţesături, de încondeiere ouă, pielărie, ceramică şi pictură icoane.

La mansarda clădirii sunt două spaţii expoziţionale acoperite, unul închis, iar celălalt deschis. Aceste spații deservesc parțial atelierele meșteșugărești pentru expunerea produselor tradiționale create.

Costurile totale se ridică la aproape 1,4 milioane de euro, din care 50% finanţare nerambursabilă din fonduri europene, 25% de la bugetul local al Primăriei Suceava şi 25% de la Consiliul Judeţean Suceava.

La inaugurare au fost prezente numeroase oficialități, care au felicitat municipalitatea suceveană pentru iniţiativa de punere în valoare a tradiţiilor populare bucovinene.

Prezentând pe scurt proiectul investiţiei, primarul Sucevei, Ion Lungu a afirmat: „Este un spaţiu creat pentru încurajarea activităţii culturale, dar şi economice, pentru că sunt puse la dispoziţie atât spaţii de creaţie, expoziţionale, cât şi de vânzare, creându-se oportunităţi de dezvoltare a afacerilor în domeniul meşteşugăresc”.

Prima expoziţie găzduită de  Centrul pentru Susținerea Tradițiilor Bucovinene este cea de ouă încondeiate, realizată de Victor T. Rusu, în care sunt prezentate ouă încondeiate din toate regiunile emblematice ale judeţului Suceava.

Pe termen lung, proiectul vizează îmbunătățirea infrastructurii de afaceri a serviciilor specifice domeniului afacerilor și meșteșugurilor tradiționale locale, valorificarea potențialului din domeniul meșteșugurilor în municipiul Suceava, dezvoltarea activităților economice prin valorificarea potențialului meșteșugurilor tradiționale și turismului.

Bukovina Traditions Support Centre

Bukovina Traditions Support Center was inaugurated a few days before Easter on the 25^th of April, 2013 in Suceava. It is the first center that promotes the traditions of the county; the building in which it operates is newly built and will be used both as exhibition and educative space and as a tourist destination.

Bukovina Traditions Support Centre building was erected on University Street, in the neighborhood of Areni skating rink. It has a basement, ground floor, two floors and attic and it is equipped with an elevator.

At the basement there are the archives and the utility power stations, on the ground floor there aretwo information centres, one for tourists and the other intended for the activities carried out in the building.

On the first floor, a modern multifunctional conference hall was set up and on the second floor there are seven workshops provided for the craftsmen free of charge:mask manufacturing workshop, woodworking, textiles, eggs painting, leather crafts, ceramics and icons painting workshops.

In the attic of the building, there are two roofed exhibition spaces, one of them closed and the other one open. These spaces serve partially the small-scale manufacturing operations in order to exhibit the traditional created items.

The total cost amounts to about 1.4 million, out of which 50% grant from European funds, 25% from the local budget of Suceava town hall and 25 % from Suceava County Council.

On the opening, numerous officials attended who congratulated Suceava municipality for the initiative to valorize the traditions from Bukovina.

In his short presentation of the investment project, the mayor of Suceava, Ion Lungu said: "It is a space designed to encourage cultural, but also economic activities, because both spaces for creation, exhibition and sales are available in order to create opportunities to develop the business within the hand-made field ".

The first exhibition hosted by the Bukovina Traditions Support Centre is the one of eggs paintings made by Victor T. Rusu, where the painted eggs from all the emblematic regions of Suceava county are presented.

On the long run, the project aims to improve the business infrastructure of the specialized services within the business and local traditional field, the valorization of the potential of hand-made crafts in Suceava county, the development of economic activities by the valorization of traditional hand-made items and tourism.
