Giumalău

Priveliştea de pe vf. Giumalău poate fi admirată după parcurgerea traseului montan care durează aproximativ 2 h ½  – 3h . Traseul începe de la kilometrul 8 care duce spre Vf. Rarău prin Pojorâta. Cărările montane au un grad mediu de dificultate, iar ultima porţiune are un grad ridicat de dificultate datorită rădăcinilor şi stâncilor. În perioada lunii august turiştii pot admira şi gusta afinele şi merişoarele care acoperă zona. Pe vârf se poate ajunge şi prin alte căi cum ar fi: 1.Traseul care porneşte de pe vârful Mestecănişului

                   2. Traseul care porneşte de pe Izvorul Giumalăului (Pojorâta)

                   3. Traseul prin Chiril (Valea Bistriţei)             

Revenind la privelişte, traseul oferă peisaje mirifice în care se pot admira localităţile apropiate ca Pojorâta, Câmpulung Moldovenesc, Valea Putnei, Dorna Arini. Peisajele sunt de neuitat şi de aceea turiştii revin an se an şi se reculeg în acest loc. 

La altitudinea de 1641 şi la 20 minute de vârf, se găseşte Cabana Giumalău care oferă turiştilor 34 de locuri în 3 camere, dar important este că nu există curent electric şi nu se serveşte mâncare. Camerele sunt încălzite cu sobe proaspăt renovate, iar bucătăria de asemenea este renovată.

Giumalău Mountains are a mountain range of Moldova Transylvanian Carpathians (from Bukovina) which are bounded by Câmpulung Moldovenesc dingle, Obcina Mestecănișului and Obcina Feredeului on the north side, Obcina Voronoețului on the east side and Stânișoarei Mountains on the south-east side. To the south side Bistriței Mountains, Țara Dornelor dingle on the south-west and Obcina Suhardului on the west side can be seen.

The highest altitude is recorded on the Giumalău peak having 1858 m.

The view from the Giumalău peak can be seen after getting over the mountain route which takes about 2 hours ½ – 3 hours to complete. The route starts at kilometer 8, which leads to the Rarău peak via Pojorâta. The mountain paths have an average degree of difficulty and the last section has a high degree of difficulty due to roots and rocks. Starting in August, tourists can admire and enjoy blueberries and cranberries which are covering the area. The peak can be reached by other means such as

1.The route which starts from the Mestecănişului creast.

2. The route which starts from Giumalăul River (Pojorâta)

3. The route via Chiril (Bistrița Valley)

  With regard to the view, the route offers wonderful landscapes where you can admire the surrounding areas such as Pojorâta, Câmpulung Moldovenesc, Putna Valley, Dorna Arini. The landscapes are memorable and that is why the tourists return every year to introspect in this place.

To an altitude of 1641 and on 20-minute to the peak, Giumalău chalet is offering the guests 34 seats in 3 rooms, but more importantly, there is no electricity and food is not served. The rooms are heated with newly renovated stoves and the kitchen is also renovated.
