Mănăstirea Doroteia – Plutoniţa

Ei au pustnicit pe aceste meleaguri şi, cel mai probabil, au săvârşit Sfânta Liturghie pentru că erau sfinţiţi, hirotoniţi. Dumnezeu a rânduit ca după secole , aceste locuri binecuvântate să găzduiască un locaş sfânt. Tradiţia săvârşirii Sfintei Liturghii de acum câteva secole din vremea acestor sfinţi pustnici cuvioşi care s-au jertfit pe aceste pământuri, ridicarea unor locaşuri sfinte, astfel încât sfinţenia  acestora să nu fie uitata. Ansamblul nu a fost aşa de la început, ci s-a construit treptat. A apărut biserica, paraclisul, iniţial s-a construit un singur corp de chilii, cel vis-a-vis de biserică, ulterior s-a mai construit un alt corp de chilii datorită faptului că numărul monahilor vieţuitori din mănăstire a început să crească. S-a construit în timp şi agheasmatarul, care poartă hramul Sfântului Simeon Stâlpnicul, prăznuit pe 1 septembrie. Trapeza pentru mireni s-a construit prin anul 2007. Bunăstarea materială a mănăstirii s-a clădit în timp prin jertfa oamenilor. La început erau doar 5-6 monahi, în prezent fiind 16.

Dumnezeu și tradiția ortodoxă, alături de credința statornică a unor bucovineni cu viață și folclor sănătos românesc, au mai păstrat o scânteie de adevăr, care după anul 1989 au aprins scânteia vechilor nostalgii românești și istorice, în care localnicii și-au dat seama ca nu poți clădi nici un nume fără Dumnezeu.
Astfel, în anul 1997 ctitorii Rusu Gavril, Rusu Vasile, Rusu Victor, Gemanaru Gheorghe, Bălan Constantin și alții, plini de râvna duhovnicească, au donat poiana și pădure pentru mânăstirea actuală, cu hramul Schimbarea la Față și un paraclis cu hramul voievozilor Mihail și Gavril. Acest gest creștinesc a fost scris  în cartea cerului, în vara anului 1997, când P.S. Gherasim Putneanu, azi trecut la cele veșnice, a sfințit piatra de temelie, punând prima troița in poiana mănăstirii, în amintirea sihaștrilor și nevoitorilor, care au sfințit aceste locuri cu trupurile, sufletele, și rugăciunea lor.

Din anul 2007, actualul stareț, protos. Justin Ababei este continuatorul și păstrătorul rânduielilor bisericești pentru bunul mers al sfântului lăcaș. S-au făcut eforturi de finisare și terminare a corpului de chilii pe beciul mânăstirii.

Doroteia- Plutonița Monastery

On the mythical lands of Bukovina, the air incensed by the floral parfume in the glades, blended with the smell of fir-tree, makes the spiritual charm of these places blessed by God with awesome pages of history and bravery and also a natural environment specific to asceticism and high emotions that urges you to meditation and prayer.

The church is dedicated to the Transfiguration. Its history is not very complicated or very long.

Why, however, was it chosen to build a monastery on this place? Because, according to an old tradition, in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries the apprentices of St. Daniil the Hermit, the confessor of St. Stefan cel Mare led a hermit life on this lands’ among the apprentices, there were two named Dorotei and Platon, names which were taken later by the villages Doroteia and Plutonița.

They led the life of a hermit on this lands and probably they performed the Mass because they were sanctified, ordained. The God ordained that after centuries these blessed places to host a holy place. The tradition of High Mass of centuries ago from the days of these pious hermits saints who sacrificed themselves on these lands led to the building of sanctums so that their sacrifice might not be forgotten. The complex was gradually built up. The church and the chapel were built later, only one cells building across the church was built originally, later another cells building was built because the number of monks who lived in the monastery was increasing. The holy water building was built over time and it is dedicated to St. Simeon Stylite, which is celebrated on the 1st of September. The refectory for laymen was built in 2007. The material welfare of the monastery was built over time thanks to human sacrifice. At first only 5-6 monks were there, but currently there are 16 monks.

God and the Orthodox tradition, along with the steadfast faith of some people from Bukovina with healthy Romanian lifestyle and folklore, preserved a sparkle of truth, which, after 1989 awoke the sparkle of old Romanian and history nostalgias, where the locals realized that you cannot build any names without God.

Thus, in 1997 the founders Rusu Gavril, Rusu Vasile, Rusu Victor, Gemanaru Gheorghe, Bălan Constantin and others, overflowed with spiritual zeal, donated the glade and the forest to the current monastery, dedicated to the Transfiguration of God and a chapel dedicated to rulers Mihail and Gavril. This Christian sign was written in the heaven book, in the summer of 1997, when PS Gherasim Putneanu who passed away, consecrated the headstone, placing the first Trinity cross in the monastery glade, in memory of hermits and their strugglers which made these places holy through their bodies, souls, and prayers.

Since 2007, the current abbot, hearing Justin Ababei is the successor and preserver of church ordinances for the good of the holy place. There have been efforts to recondition and complete the cells building on monastery basement.
