Mănăstirea "Sf. Mina"

Unul dintre schituri cu hramul "Sf. Arhangheli Mihail si Gavril" a existat în perioada sec. al XIX-lea. Săpăturile făcute în zonă au descoperit oseminte ale călugărilor îngropaţi aici, iar pe o cărămidă datată din 1864 era înscris numele unui ieromonah Porfirie, îngropat lângă peretele Bisericii. Protosinghelul  Gamaliil de la Mănăstirea Neamţ a sosit aici pentru a ridica un nou aşezământ monahal pe locul ruinelor fostului schit. Când a vrut să pună temelia pentru Sfânta Masă a noului aşezământ, prin lucrarea Sfântului Duh s-a aflat o candelă aprinsă din timpul vechiului aşezământ.
Al doilea schit e datat din 1934 – 1937. În anul 1937 călugării au fost risipiţi în cele patru zări de către puterea vremii, împrăştiindu-se la alte mănăstiri. În acest al doilea schit, care avea o bisericuţă de lemn acoperită cu şindrilă, a slujit Protosinghelul Gamaliil împreună cu schimonahul Varlaam, monahii: Chiriac, Gherontie, Nifon, Iftimie si alţii. Pe locul sfântului altar s-au plantat salcâmi care au dăinuit până la a treia rezidire. După colectivizare un oarecare sătean a venit să ridice piatra Sfintei Mese, dar din putere Dumnezeiasca roţile tractorului au explodat, aşa că piatra Sfintei Mese nu a  putut fi ridicată pentru a fi îndepărtată de locul Sfânt.  Odată cu schimbările aduse de revoluţie, credincioşii din zonă au dorit să construiască biserica, ridicându-se un paraclis provizoriu în formă de cruce, iar din 1995 sub conducerea stareţului PCv. Varnava Ene s-a ridicat biserica mare din zid de piatră, corpul de chilii, paraclisul din incinta stăreţiei, clopotniţa şi gardul din piatră. Interiorul bisericii are catapeteasmă, baldachinul Sfintelor Moaşte şi stranele sunt făcute din lemn de stejar. În data de 9 februarie 2003 s-a primit cu mare bucurie Sfânta Raclă având părticele din Sfintele Moaşte ale Sfântului Mare Mucenic Mina, Sfântului lerarh Vasile Cel Mare, Sfântului lerarh Glicherie Mărturisitorul, Sfântului Mucenic Haralambie şi Sfântului Mucenic Florian. Mai târziu, pe data de 11 iunie 2003, cu binecuvântarea Maicii Domnului s-a primit Sfânta Icoană "Axionita", fiind pictată cu 21 de ani în urmă. În 2005 sunt aduse două icoane ale Maicii Domnului numite  "Icoana Maicii Domnului Grabnic Ajutătoare" şi "Gherontissa" din Sfântul Munte Athos.

St. Mina" Monastery

      "St. Mina" Monastery is an old-style Orthodox Monastery located in Roșiori village from Forăști commune. The place where "St. Mina" monastery is located today is known as "Dealul Bisericii" because on this hill there were hermitages of monks that were destroyed because of hostile conditions.

One of the hermitages dedicated to "Sts. Archangels Michael and Gabriel" existed during the nineteenth century. The excavations from the area found the bones of monks who were buried here and on a brick from 1864 the name of a hieromonarch Porphyrius was written, who was buried next to the church wall. Protosinghel Gamaliil from Neamț Monastery came here to built a new monastic settlement on the place of the ruins of the former hermitage. When he wanted to lay the foundation of the Holy Table for the new settlement, through the grace of the Holy Spirit a lighting candle from the years of the ancient settlement was discovered.

The second hermitage dated from 1934 to 1937. In 1937 the monks were chased away by authorities, moving to other monasteries. In this second hermitage, which had a wooden shingle-roof church, the Protosinghel Gamaliil along with monk Barlaam, monks: Chiriac, Gherontie, Nifon, Iftimie and others held religeous services. On the place of the holy altar acacia trees were planted which lasted until the third rebuilding. After collectivization some villager came to take the stone of the Holy Table, but due to the divine power, the wheels of the tractor blew out so the stone of the Holy Table could not be lifted in order to be removed from the holy place.

Along with the changes brought by the revolution, Christians from the area wanted to build the church, building a temporary cross-shaped chapel, and from 1995 under the run of Prior Varnava Ene the big church made of stone, the cells building, the chapel inside the abbey, the bell tower and the stone fence were built. The interior of the church has an iconostasis, the holy relics’ canopy and the pews are made of oak wood. On February 9^th, 2003 the holy reliquary with partt of the Holy Relics of St. Great Martyr Mina, St. Hierarch Basil the Great ,St. Hierarch Glicherie the Confessor, St. Haralambos and St. Martyr Florian. Later, on the 11th of June, 2003, with the blessing of the Virgin Mary the Holy Icon "Axionita" was received , being painted 21 years before. In 2005, two icons of the Virgin Mary entitled Icoana Maicii Domnului Grabnic Ajutătoare" and "Gerontissa " from the Holy Mountain Athos were brought here.
