Monumentul „Dragoş Vodă şi Zimbrul”

Monumentul îl reprezintă pe domnitorul Dragoş Vodă, descălecătorul Moldovei, călare pe un cal şi cu un buzdugan în mână cu care intenţionează să lovească un zimbru care-l atacă. El are următoarele dimensiuni: lungime – 7,10 m, lăţime – 2,35 m şi înălţime – 4,06 m. Soclul statuii este din beton placat cu travertin, având următoarele dimensiuni: lungime – 6,95 m, lăţime – 2 m şi înălţime – 3,15 m. Pe soclul statuii se află inscripţia I.Jalea 1978.

"Dragoș Vodă and the Bison" Statue

"Dragoș Vodă and the Bison" Statue is a statuary monument located in Câmpulung Moldovenesc, Suceava County. It was made ​​of bronze by sculptor Ion Jalea (1887-1983), being located in the central square of Câmpulung Moldovenesc in the neighbourhood of the House of Culture new building. It was unveiled in 1978.

The statue depicts Prince Dragoș Vodă, the founder of Moldavia, riding a horse with a mace in hand on the way to hit a bison that attacked him. It has the following dimensions: length – 7.10 m, width – 2.35 m and height – 4.06 m. The pedestal of the statue is made of concrete plated with travertine, with the following dimensions: length – 6.95 m, width – 2 m and height – 3.15 m. On the pedestal of the statue there is the inscription with the name of the author, I.Jalea 1978.
