Muzeul Apelor “Mihai Băcescu”

Partea vie a muzeului este prezentată de acvarii, bazine de sticlă ce însumeaza  mii de litri de apa, diorame ce surprind flora şi fauna unor ecosisteme, de la râul Moldova până la Oceanul Atlantic. O multitudine de specii de peşti din diferite clase precum Carasius Auratus, Ashonotus Callatus si altele, ne încântă văzul prin culorile şi formele lor.

Tot în muzeu întâlnim o copie unică foarte reuşită a globului pământesc realizat între anii 1982-1986 de profesorul Isaic Neculai, ce redă la scară relieful uscatului şi relieful subacvatic.    În celelalte secţii ale muzeului întâlnim expoziţie de numismatică, documente, fotografii şi tablouri, botanică, antichităţi, cărţi vechi, secţia militară, secţia zoologică şi altele.

"Mihai Băcescu" Water Museum

Water Museum from Fălticeni is the first regional museum in Romania, founded by Professor Vasile Ciurea in 1914. One of his students was the academician Mihai C. Băcescu (1908-1999), who continued the work of Professor Ciurea. Thus, on the 17^th of August, 1982, the Museum of Natural Science was created in the former building of the courthouse in Fălticeni, , being the successor of the museum founded in 1914. Mainly "Mihai Băcescu" Water Museum depicts the history of waters then come the old fishing tools, some hundreds of years old.

The living part of the museum is represented by the aquariums, glass basins summing thousands of gallons of water, dioramas which capture flora and fauna of some ecosystems from the Moldavia River to the Atlantic Ocean. A variety of fish species from different classes such as Carasius Auratus, Ashonotus Callatus and others delight our sight by their colours and forms.

In the museum we also encounter a very successful uniquecopy of the globe made ​​from 1982 to 1986 by Professor Isaic Neculai, depicting at scale both land relief and underwater relief configuration. In the other sections of the museum we meet a coins exhibition, documents, photographs and paintings, botanics, antiques, old books, military and zoo department and more.
